Sodom and Gomorrah

Hagar bears Ishmael. God promises Isaac. Abraham pleads for Sodom. Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed. Lot saved; his wife turns to salt.
Part 2.3
Abraham and Isaac

Abraham deceives Abimelek. Isaac is born. Hagar and Ishmael sent away. God tests Abraham with Isaac. Sarah dies; Abraham buys burial land.
Part 2.4
Isaac

Abraham’s servant finds Rebekah for Isaac. Isaac marries her. Abraham takes another wife, has more children, then dies and is buried with Sarah.
Part 2.5
Jacob and Esau

Esau and Jacob born. Esau sells birthright. Jacob deceives Isaac for blessing. Esau vows revenge. Rebekah sends Jacob to Laban for safety and marriage.
Part 2.6
Jacob

Jacob dreams of a ladder. Serves Laban for Rachel, marries Leah too. God blesses him with many children through Leah, Rachel, and their maids.
Part 2.7
Jacob and Laban

Jacob prospers despite Laban’s deceit. Breeds strong flocks. God tells him to return home. He fears Esau and prepares gifts, camps before their meeting.
Part 2.8
Jacob returns

Jacob and Esau reconcile. Dinah is violated; her brothers retaliate. God reaffirms covenant. Rachel dies giving birth to Benjamin. Isaac dies and is buried.
Part 2.9
Joseph’s dreams

Esau’s descendants listed. Joseph, Jacob’s favorite, dreams of greatness. His brothers sell him into slavery; he’s taken to Egypt and sold to Potiphar.
Part 2.10
Judah and Tamar

Judah’s scandal with Tamar. In Egypt, Joseph prospers in Potiphar’s house, resists temptation, is falsely accused, and thrown into prison.
Part 2.11
The rise of Joseph

Joseph interprets dreams in prison. Pharaoh dreams; Joseph interprets, predicts famine. Pharaoh elevates Joseph to power. He prepares Egypt during seven years of abundance.
Part 2.12
Joseph and his brothers

Famine continues. Joseph’s brothers return to Egypt. Joseph tests them, reveals his identity, forgives them, and sends for Jacob to come to Egypt.
Part 2.13
Joseph in Egypt

Joseph settles his family in Egypt; Jacob blesses Pharaoh and later blesses Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, giving the younger the greater blessing.
Part 2.14
Jacob’s blessings

Jacob blesses his twelve sons, prophesying their futures, then dies. Joseph forgives his brothers and assures them of God’s plan after Jacob’s burial.
